• Tax On Split Income (TOSI) – our app simplifies the concept.  
• Capital Dividend Account (CDA) – Did you say tax free dividends? 
• Safe Income (SI) – It’s never been as scary to calculate. 
• Small Business Deduction (SBD) – New taxes are nibbling away what was once a great small business deduction. Efficient designs can address the nibbling.
• Refundable Dividend Tax on Hand (RDTOH) – Has been around a long time. Now, however, there are two. We call one Green, the other Red. The Red has the potential of adding 10 more points of tax in some circumstances. We have some ideas on this. 
• General Rate Income Pool (GRIP) – This has been an accommodation for paying higher taxes in a corporation. This can become more painful to extract now that the Red RDTOH has been devised. 
• Capital Gains Exemption (CGE) – For more than $850,000 for tax free gains has been elusive. Now it can be really hard to get. 
• The biggest challenge is to withdraw cash from the corporation without just paying a lot of taxes on it. Cumulative Net Investment Lost (CNIL), Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) and Allowable Business Investment Loss (ABIL) can also damage this supposedly simple concept. 
• Generally Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR) – If they can’t get you with one of the above, this is always the hammer that hangs above the plan. 

At Momentum Business Designs, we have partnered with Xero Accounting software and QuickBooks. Xero and QuickBooks Online are cloud based accounting platforms using the latest technologies designed to reduce your time spent on bookkeeping and chasing receipts. 

Xero interfaces with over 700 apps using a mobile device which provides you with real time access to your records. Many of the apps, such as Hubdoc, use “fetch and data capture” technology which establish live connections to bank accounts, suppliers and other contacts which upload data in real time. 

We have several professionals who have obtained their Xero Advisor Certification and Xero Migration Certification. Let our advisors migrate your books onto Xero, where the design and user interface is simple and intuitive. You will be able to manage your data instead of wasting time with manual recording.
